Other than physicians (MD or DO), laser hair removal can only be performed by licensed Laser hair removal technicians under the delegation and supervision of a licensed physician. Our comprehensive laser hair removal course starts online and progresses to in-person hands-on training at our state-of-the-art facility. Week 1 kicks off with an introduction of the medical aesthetics industry, covering its history and the role of an aesthetic laser provider. Students will learn skin anatomy and physiology, and the Fitzpatrick scale for skin assessment. Students will understand laser fundamentals, classifications, treatment protocols, and safety measures. Our curriculum includes Laser Safety Officer certification in adherence to Texas Administrative Code Rule 118.32. Students will also learn advanced techniques for intense pulsed light (IPL) applications, laser skin rejuvenation, body contouring, tattoo removal, and acne treatments, fractional and non-fractional laser treatments, non-invasive body contouring, laser tattoo removal technology, and advanced skin treatments such as chemical peels, ultrasound, and microneedling. We meet in-person for week 2, review case studies and participate in our practical skills lab. By the end of the course, students will be CPR certified, possess the knowledge and skills needed for various aesthetic treatments, ensuring safe, effective, and ethical practice in medical aesthetics and earn their certificates for LSO and Senior Laser Hair Removal Technician with the option to test for their Professional Laser Technician certification.

Professional Supervision: A licensed Professional laser hair removal technician (or physician) must be physically present at the facility whenever laser hair removal procedures are performed.
Important Regulations: Laser hair removal is a regulated practice in Texas. The TDLR provides all necessary forms, rules, and regulations on their website.
